Hi! I'm Ilse Valencia, founder of Rosemark Publishing, a children's author, and mom who loves creating stories that teach, inspire, and spark curiosity about the world around us. Whether it's exploring science, chasing big dreams, or discovering something new, I believe books have the power to help kids see all the amazing things they're capable of.
My love for books started when I was young—I'd get lost in stories for hours, imagining magical worlds and big adventures. In middle school, I even wrote my first "books" as part of one of my classes (about math, of all things!), and that's when I made a promise to myself: one day, I'd write a book of my own to share with the world.
Life took me on an amazing journey first. I earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and an M.E. in Engineering Management, building a career where I got to solve problems and explore how things work. That curiosity and love for science? It's woven right into the stories I create today.
About the Founder
When I became a mom in 2021, my daughter inspired me to finally go after that dream. For the next four years, I dove headfirst into the independent publishing world. I dedicated that time to learning the ins and outs of the industry, from the creative process to the technical side of bringing a book to life.
If there's one thing this journey taught me, it's the same message my book shares: with dedication, resilience, and belief in yourself, dreams really can come true.
I founded Rosemark Publishing in 2025 as a way to share that magic with others. Along the way, I realized how much I enjoyed the process of building a book, and I wanted to use what I’ve learned to help other independent authors bring their own stories to life.
In 2026, I’m thrilled to introduce The Glow in Me to families around the globe and to support a new wave of authors in sharing their unique voices.
